Abandoned Portrait - Minimal, Contemporary Brown Abstract 01

This is a modern, contemporary, abstract artwork from Studio Grafiikka's series of minimal wall decor prints. This is one of the two artworks named "Abandoned Portrait" and represents a half done attempt at painting or sculpting a face. It points to the endless choice of forms that the finished face could take. Making use of brown, beige, sienna, ivory and terracotta the artwork invokes a very contemplative and zen-like feel and makes one think of how the sculpture would have ended up, if it the work on it progressed. Although the illustration itself uses solid blocks of color, the emotions it invokes are very poetic and deep. Minimal, Scandinavian art prints are very much in trend at the moment and are very likely to continue to be so, due to their simplicity and timelessness.
